Security, safety and emergencies
The university has crisis and security plans for various types of events. Work-related injuries, fire, vandalism and major operating outages are perhaps the most obvious ones, as well as a crisis of confidence in the university’s work. We must all take responsibility for becoming familiar with procedures and taking training courses in crisis management.
What should I do in an emergency?
- Where there is danger to life, health and/or property, e.g. in case of fire – call 112
- If you are threatened, call a security guard on 08 608 4500.
- If you suspect a burglary, vandalism or similar during normal working hours, please contact your line manager who will contact the relevant person
- If you suspect a burglary, vandalism or similar outside normal working hours, please contact a security guard and then your line manager
- In a crisis that does not involve immediate danger – please contact your line manager (managers can always consult the university's security office).
- If someone has died, please refer to the procedures below in the Crisis Management expander box.
You can find more information on terrorist attacks and other armed violence on the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency's website: Terrorist attacks and other armed aggression – what to do External link, opens in new window.
If you are logged in to the employee web, more information about what to do in case of fire, threatening behaviour, acute cardiac arrest, burglary, etc. is available below. Please read the information before a crisis occurs, so you will be better prepared if a one does happen.
