At the digitisation node, the Development Unit for Higher Education Pedagogy works with the university’s ICT educators. The node can also bring in expertise from teachers at the university or other higher education institutions to offer Södertörn’s staff training and support for digital learning. The node’s activities are always designed in dialogue with teachers and/or subject and programme environments. The Development Unit is the convener for this work, as decided by the vice-chancellor.

Themes that the node is currently working with include examination, generative AI, active learning rooms, alternative forms of examination, and remote and hybrid learning. The node also monitors digitisation issues in relation to teaching and learning in general, both at the university and in Swedish higher education.
