Pay and compensation

You are paid on the 25th of each month, if this is falls on Mon-Fri.
Your payslip is in Primula External link, opens in new window. (the staffing and payroll system). Primula has the same login as your computer.

Payments

You must register your personal account at Danske bank so that we can pay your salary into it.

Setting wages/salary

Setting pay levels includes pay reviews and salary-setting dialogues. You must have a salary-setting dialogue with your manager every year. The university sets pay individually, using its guidelines for setting wages/salaries (Riktlinjer för lönesättning). The university’s pay criteria are used for pay reviews.

Compensation for temporary work

There is a difference between employment on an hourly wage and receiving a fee for contract work.

Fees for contractors:
Paid for specific contracts on separate occasions.
The contract is not to be considered as employment.

Employment on an hourly wage:
Paid to people with short-term temporary employment as temporary lecturers.
If you have a temporary position that is paid by the hour, you will receive a form to be signed by your HR generalist or manager.

Compensation for private outlay

If you have temporarily paid for something that is the university’s responsibility, you are compensated for the outlay. You must register your outlay in Primula.

Salaries for doctoral students

Doctoral students follow the “Salary scale for doctoral students”.

From 1 September 2021, the following applies:

  1. Starting salary: SEK 27,700
  2. After 12 months of full-time employment: SEK 28,200
  3. After 24 months of full-time employment: SEK 29,700
  4. After 36 months of full-time employment: SEK 31,400

From 1 September 2022, the following applies:

  1. Starting salary: SEK 28,200
  2. After 12 months of full-time employment: SEK 28,700
  3. After 24 months of full-time employment: SEK 30,100
  4. After 36 months of full-time employment: SEK 31,800

From 1 October 2023, the following applies:

  1. Starting salary: SEK 29,400
  2. After 12 months of full-time employment: SEK 30,000
  3. After 24 months of full-time employment: SEK 31,200
  4. After 36 months of full-time employment: SEK 32,800
