Great potential for mobility within KreativEU

As part of the KreativEU European university alliance, Södertörn University is leading work on mobility, and recently welcomed the other universities in the alliance to a meeting at Södertörn. There are many opportunities for various types of exchange, for both staff and students.
Södertörn University and ten other European universities have formed a European university alliance under the name of KreativEU – Knowledge & Creativity European University. On Tuesday 9 September, representatives from the alliance’s universities were welcomed to a meeting that focused on work around mobility. During the meeting, the new vice-chancellor, Ylva Fältholm, introduced herself and shared her experiences of cooperation within European university alliances from her time at the University of Gävle.

Apart from this, the meeting’s priority was discussing how, moving forward, mobility work should be planned.
“We are now starting our work for the autumn and rounding off one of the first project objectives – developing a sustainable mobility plan for KreativEU, to be presented in December,” says Felicia Fernelius, international officer and leader for WP7 Mobility within KreativEU. She continues, “There is plenty going on right now, including the establishment of a joint course prospectus for the alliance, which I believe will make exchanges even more accessible to our students.”
KreativEU’s organisation is divided into eight work packages that cover different areas of activity. Alongside Trnava University, Södertörn University is leading Work Package 7 Mobility (WP7).
Opportunities for staff
A variety of activities and exchanges within KreativEU are open to employees. The new page for KreativEU on the employee web has information about current opportunities, how to apply for them and obtain funding. This includes the chance to participate in blended intensive programmes, which are short-term exchanges that last 5-30 days and are funded by Erasmus+. The page about KreativEU on the employee web is regularly updated, so keep checking it to find out what’s on.
